 Oaths, Affirmations and Acknowledgment

Oath/Affirmation The person taking an oath swears to a Supreme Being (“So help me, God”) that the information in the document is the truth. A person who is making an affirmation makes a personal vow that the information in the document is the truth; he/she simply prefers not to refer to a Supreme Being. The oath and affirmation have the same legal effect and are made under the penalties of perjury.Acknowledgment The person who makes an acknowledgment is declaring that he (or she) has signed the document willingly (under his own free will), for the purposes expressed in the document. An acknowledgment indicates the signer’s intent, free will and understanding of the document’s consequences.

General Notary Work

General Notary work simply means traveling to clients to notarize documents that are not related to real estate transactions. This includes everything from powers of attorney, trust documents, healthcare-related documents, auto title transfers and many more.

  Apostille & Document Certification

Both apostilles and certifications are used by foreign governments to assess the authenticity of an official signature on a document; the capacity in which the person signing the document acted; and the identity of any stamp or seal affixed to the document.  When the Department of State authenticates a document with an apostille or certification, the department verifies that the person who signed the document is a Florida official and the Secretary of the Commonwealth has given "full faith and credit" to the official's seal and signature.

Loan Signing Services

A signing service or signing company is a company who subcontracts signing appointments to individual Notaries who engage in Loan Document Signings for signing of loan documents and notarization. The sole purpose of signing services is to act as a go-between company, between the client, title or escrow company, and the notary public.
